New Maruti Brezza Facelift Launch On 23rd July – No ADAS
by Satya Singh · RushLaneWhile focusing on functional updates, Maruti Brezza facelift will also get a mild exterior refresh and some new colours
Maruti Suzuki is readying the Brezza facelift, the first major update for the second-gen model, first introduced in 2022. Test mules have been spotted frequently in recent months. New Brezza is scheduled to make its debut on 23rd July. And our source is strongly suggesting that ADAS will not be a part of this update to Brezza facelift.
2026 Maruti Brezza facelift – What’s New?
A 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine may be one of the biggest updates for the new Brezza facelift. This 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine might be borrowed from Fronx. Onboard the Fronx, this engine generates 100 PS and 147.6 Nm of torque. Transmission choices include 5MT and 6AT.
Mileage is pretty good at 21.5 km/L with the MT and 20.01 km/L with the AT (figures from Fronx). However, since Brezza is heavier, the mileage numbers are likely to be slightly lower. New Brezza facelift is expected to continue with the existing 1.5-litre K15C Smart Hybrid engine. It generates 103 PS and 139 Nm.
This engine is also available with CNG option, although the current CNG tank setup makes available boot space unusable. Test mules of Brezza facelift have been seen with an underbody mounted CNG tank. This setup is similar to that of Maruti Victoris. With an underbody tank, Brezza CNG (facelift) can witness higher sales in the coming months.
No ADAS!
ADAS suite was speculated with Brezza facelift, but our source is strongly suggesting that will not be the case. New Brezza is expected to get some mild cosmetic touch-ups. Updates are expected for the lighting elements, front and rear bumpers and tail lamps. Based on test mule sightings, a new design for the alloy wheels has also been revealed.
Inside, the new Brezza could get refreshed trim materials and some new colour schemes. Any drastic changes are unlikely for the facelift. Equipment could be upgraded with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, as seen with the Victoris. Other possibilities include features like front ventilated seats, a powered driver’s seat and ambient lighting.
Lower GST
A Turbo petrol engine is more complicated and more expensive, but Maruti’s 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine lacks a whole cylinder when compared to 1.5L NA. Add to that, lower GST slab of 18% with B Segment vehicles and one can expect 1.0 Turbo and 1.5L NA variants might be priced close to each other. As of now, Brezza is taxed at a higher 40% GST despite its sub-4-meter length owing to its 1500cc engine. For the lower 18% tax slab, a car should have a petrol engine of up to 1,200cc or diesel engine of up to 1,500 cc.
New 2026 Maruti Brezza will continue to challenge rivals like Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Skoda Kylaq and Toyota Taisor. With the new engine, additional features, underbody CNG and lower GST, Brezza could witness higher sales. In May 2026, Brezza was ranked fourth in the list of bestselling sub-4-meter SUVs. It commanded a market share of 11.39%.
