In the earlier article we discussed 150cc-200cc as well as 350cc-500cc motorcycle sales. Now, let us take a look at 200cc To 350cc motorcycle segment. It has recorded strong growth in August 2026, with sales reaching 29,582 units. This compares with 17,196 units in August 2025, translating to an increase of 12,386 units or 72.03% YoY.
200cc To 350cc Motorcycle Sales Aug 2026
TVS Ronin registered sales of 11,679 units in August 2026, up from 6,623 units a year earlier. This represents 76.34% YoY growth. With TVS launching updated Ronin this month, sales are expected to increase in coming months. Bajaj Pulsar 220/250 secured second place with 7,179 units, growing 20.15% over the 5,975 units sold in August 2025. Sales also improved 5.08% over July’s 6,832 units. Bajaj is also getting ready to launch updated Pulsar 250 in October.
KTM 250 sales more than doubled to 4,471 units, compared with 2,056 units in August 2025. This translates to 117.46% YoY growth and a 15.11% segment share. Sequentially, sales increased 19.51% from 3,741 units in July. Bajaj Avenger 220 recorded an even sharper percentage increase, reaching 2,127 units against 395 units a year earlier.
The combined TVS Apache 310/RTX entry ranked fifth with 1,925 units. While this represented 117.76% growth over August 2025’s 884 units, sales declined 14.02% from 2,239 units in July. Suzuki V-Strom 250 recorded 1,012 units, compared with just 101 units a year earlier.
Bajaj Dominar 250 followed with 541 units, declining 13.44% YoY from 625 units. However, sales recovered 22.68% compared with July’s 441 units. Hero Xtreme 250R registered 385 units, growing 19.20% YoY and 19.57% MoM. Kawasaki 300 volumes stood at 151 units, up 37.27% annually but down 12.21% sequentially.
Lower-Volume Models Show Mixed Performance
Suzuki Gixxer 250 recorded 59 units, up from 16 units in August 2025, while Husqvarna 250 reached 43 units against 31 units a year earlier. Husqvarna’s sharp monthly percentage increase reflects a July base of just one unit. Kawasaki KLX 230 sales fell to five units, compared with 29 units a year earlier and 220 units in July. Hero Karizma 210 recorded four units, while Yamaha R3 registered one unit.
OEM Wise Performance
At the manufacturer-group level, Bajaj, KTM and Husqvarna together led the segment with 14,361 units in August 2026, registering 58.13% YoY growth and a 48.55% share. TVS followed closely with 13,604 units, growing faster at 81.22% and narrowing the gap to just 757 units. Together, the two accounted for 94.54% of segment sales, underlining their dominance.
TVS also delivered the largest absolute gain, adding 6,097 units compared with the Bajaj group’s 5,279-unit increase. Suzuki ranked third with 1,071 units, posting 815.38% growth on a low base, largely supported by the V-Strom 250. Hero and Kawasaki recorded modest growth of 12.10% and 12.23%, respectively, while Yamaha registered just one unit.
