Avore Electric has entered India’s electric motorcycle market with the launch of its first product, Avore EX. Developed by Ahmedabad-based Avore Electric from the house of Samarth E-Mobility, the new electric motorcycle is available in three variants – EX 2S, EX 2 and EX 1. Prices start at Rs 1,24,999 (ex-showroom).

Bookings for Avore EX are now open at Rs 799, while customer deliveries are scheduled to commence in around two months. The company says the motorcycle has been developed over three years, with much of its EV technology engineered in-house.

Avore EX – Three Variants, Up To 260 Km Range

Avore EX 2S sits at the top of the range and offers an IDC-certified range of 260 km. EX 2 is rated at 255 km, while the entry-level EX 1 offers 160 km on a single charge. Performance also varies depending on the variant. Maximum motor output ranges from 7.5 kW to 10.5 kW, while all three versions are rated for 250 Nm of peak wheel torque. Range-topping EX 2S can achieve a claimed top speed of 114 km/h, whereas EX 2 and EX 1 have a top speed of 100 km/h.

Power comes from a rare-earth-free Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM). One of the key engineering highlights is what Avore calls its Integrated Motor + Swingarm Powertrain, or Drive Link Arm. The company says this arrangement has been developed to improve weight distribution, structural rigidity and handling.

Design And Colours

Unlike some electric motorcycles that adopt futuristic styling, Avore EX maintains relatively familiar motorcycle proportions. It combines this conventional profile with EV-specific elements such as signature tank lighting and dual-tone colour combinations. EX 2S and EX 2 are available in Starlit Blue Dual Tone, Meteor Red Dual Tone and Stellar Black Dual Tone. Entry-level EX 1 gets the same three basic colours but in single-tone finishes.

20-80% Charging In Around 2 Hours

All three variants get a 1,500W onboard charger, allowing owners to plug the motorcycle directly into a standard 5A or 15A household socket without requiring a separate charger installation. Avore claims a 20-80% charging time of around two hours, while a complete 0-100% charge takes approximately four hours. The battery pack has been homologated by NATRAX, while the Battery Management System has been validated by ICAT. The battery is covered by a 5-year/60,000 km warranty.

Manual Gear Mode And Connected Features

Avore EX attempts to differentiate itself with a range of software-based features. The motorcycle runs Avore’s proprietary AVORE SENSE operating system, accompanied by AVA (Avore Vehicle Assistance) and Avore Synapse, an AI-powered connected system.

Riders can access journey information, riding statistics and other insights through the connected ecosystem. There’s also an Apex performance riding mode. An interesting addition is Syft, a manual gear mode that allows the rider to have greater control over power delivery. This is accompanied by ARS for rider inputs and PAM+ park assist for easier low-speed manoeuvring.

Other features include auto indicator cut-off, Guide-Me-Home lights, welcome lights and Beacon signature tank lighting. Avore has also developed a side-by-side battery arrangement called Split Pack Energy, aimed at optimising packaging, weight distribution and thermal management.

Developed In India – 120+ IP Applications Filed

Avore EX is based on the company’s AVR electric motorcycle platform and uses its proprietary AVORE Source technology stack. The company claims to have developed nine critical vehicle systems in-house at its Ahmedabad R&D facility. These include the battery pack, BMS, electric motor, motor controller, power control module, DC-DC converter, onboard charger, display and operating system.

Avore says more than 120 intellectual property applications have been filed during the development process. The motorcycle has undergone more than 1 lakh km of road testing and over 2,500 hours of dynamometer validation. Its platform complies with AIS 156 and AIS 038 safety standards.
