Honda has opened bookings for the XR300L and XR300 Rally, priced at Rs 1.83 lakh and Rs 2.08 lakh, respectively, ex-showroom

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has announced prices for two more motorcycles from its expanded India lineup—the XR300L and XR300 Rally. The XR300L starts at Rs 1,83,000, while the more touring-focused XR300 Rally starts at Rs 2,08,000. Honda’s announcement specifies these as ex-showroom Bengaluru prices, with bookings now open.

The motorcycles share a 293.5cc engine but target different riding requirements. The XR300L takes a straightforward dual-sport approach, while the Rally adds wind protection, a larger fuel tank and connected instrumentation for longer journeys.

Honda XR300L – Dual-Sport At Rs 1.83 Lakh

The XR300L features a slim body, high-mounted front mudguard, narrow seat and raised exhaust. Its minimal bodywork and upright riding position reflect its focus on mixed-surface riding, combining everyday usability with the ability to venture off paved roads.

It rides on a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke-wheel combination, supported by long-travel suspension. Honda’s earlier product information also confirmed a gas-charged Pro-Link rear suspension setup.

Braking hardware comprises discs at both ends with dual-channel ABS. Rear ABS intervention can be switched off for off-road use, while Honda Selectable Torque Control adds traction control to the equipment list. The XR300L has a 7.8-litre fuel tank. It rivals Hero XPulse 210 and Kawasaki KLX230.

XR300 Rally Adds Touring Equipment

Priced Rs 25,000 above the XR300L, the XR300 Rally builds on the same basic engine architecture with additional equipment and a different body style. The most visible changes are the taller windscreen and extended front bodywork, giving it a rally-inspired appearance.

These additions are intended to offer greater wind protection on longer rides while retaining the upright stance and off-road-oriented layout. Fuel capacity increases to 13 litres, providing 5.2 litres more than the XR300L.

The Rally also gets a TFT instrument console with Honda RoadSync connectivity, including turn-by-turn navigation and other connected functions. Traction control, switchable dual-channel ABS and Pro-Link rear suspension are part of its equipment package.

Shared 293.5cc Engine

Both motorcycles use a 293.5cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with an oil cooler. Final India-spec power and torque figures have not been revealed yet. The two launches follow Honda’s July 24 showcase of ten products, comprising seven new additions and updates to three CB350 models.

Since then, the company has announced prices for the Rebel 300, ADV160, CB500, updated CB350 range and QC3 electric scooter. The XR300L and XR300 Rally now extend that rollout into the dual-sport and adventure-touring categories.
