Mahindra Sales Aug 2026 At 59,257 SUVs – 50% YoY Growth

Mahindra has announced its sales performance for August 2026, registering strong growth across its SUV, commercial vehicle and export businesses. Domestic passenger vehicle sales stood at 59,257 units during the month. Mahindra’s SUV sales increased by 50% YoY when compared to 39,399 units sold in August 2025. Compared to July 2026 sales of 60,048 units, however, volumes declined marginally by 1.32% MoM.

Mahindra SUV Sales At 59,257 Units

Utility vehicles continue to account for Mahindra’s entire domestic passenger vehicle business. The company sold 59,257 SUVs in August 2026, an increase of 19,858 units over August 2025. Mahindra’s current portfolio includes models such as Scorpio N, Scorpio Classic, Thar, Thar Roxx, XUV 3XO, XUV 7XO and Bolero range, along with its expanding electric SUV portfolio.

Year-to-date domestic passenger vehicle sales stood at 2,94,050 units, compared to 2,41,337 units during the corresponding period last year. This represents growth of 22%. Strong demand for Mahindra SUVs comes ahead of the festive season, traditionally an important period for India’s passenger vehicle market.

Commercial Vehicles And Three-Wheelers

Mahindra also registered growth across its commercial vehicle business. Sales of LCVs below 2 tonnes increased 37% YoY to 3,999 units, compared to 2,925 units last year. LCVs in the 2–3.5 tonne category recorded sales of 23,416 units, up 20% from 19,502 units. Three-wheeler sales, including electric models, increased by 42% YoY to 14,922 units.

Mahindra’s combined Trucks & Buses business, including SML Mahindra, recorded 2,495 units during August, representing 47% YoY growth. Mahindra Trucks & Buses contributed 1,320 units, while SML Mahindra recorded 1,175 units.

Exports Jump 71%

Exports were another strong area for Mahindra during August. The company shipped 6,054 vehicles, compared to 3,548 units in August 2025, registering growth of 71%. Year-to-date exports reached 26,012 units, up 63% from 15,983 units during the comparable period last year. Mahindra reported total vehicle sales of 1,07,648 units for August 2026. This includes SUVs, light commercial vehicles below 3.5 tonnes, three-wheelers and exports.

Tractor Sales At 29,507 Units

Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Business also reported growth during August. Domestic tractor sales stood at 27,595 units, compared to 26,201 units last year, registering 5% YoY growth. Exports stood at 1,912 tractors, broadly flat compared to 1,916 units a year earlier. Total tractor sales reached 29,507 units, up 5% from 28,117 units.

Cumulative tractor sales reached 2,21,968 units, representing 16% growth over the corresponding period last year. Domestic cumulative volumes were up 17%, while exports increased 9%. Mahindra attributed the positive rural outlook to improving rainfall, near-normal Kharif sowing, government support measures and expectations surrounding the upcoming festive season.
