Royal Enfield domestic sales grew 12.54% YoY to 1.15 lakh units, with its 350cc motorcycles accounting for nearly 92% of volumes

Royal Enfield recorded domestic sales of 1,14,945 units in August 2026, up from 1,02,135 units in August 2025. This translates to a growth of 12.54%, with an additional 12,810 motorcycles sold. Compared to July 2026, when sales stood at 1,05,317 units, volumes increased by 9.14%, or 9,628 units.

Royal Enfield Sales Breakup Aug 2026 – Classic 350 Leads With 43,428 Units

Classic 350 retained its position as Royal Enfield’s highest-selling motorcycle, recording 43,428 units in August 2026. Sales grew 20.55% YoY from 36,025 units, while monthly growth stood at 10.79%. With a 37.78% share of the brand’s domestic sales, Classic alone contributed 7,403 units to the overall yearly increase—nearly 58% of Royal Enfield’s net growth. Recently C350 range got a new Gorkha Edition, which could also have added to the sales.

Bullet 350 ranked second with 27,533 units, up 13.83% from 24,188 units a year earlier. Sales also improved 4.91% over July’s 26,245 units. Both Classic 350 and Bullet 350 featured in the list of top 10 motorcycles sold in Aug 2026. Classic and Bullet range of 350cc motorcycles accounted for almost 62% of the total RE sales in Aug 2026.

Hunter 350 followed with 23,869 units, posting a relatively modest 2.45% YoY increase, but a stronger 8.34% gain on a monthly basis. Meteor 350 registered 10,669 units, growing 19.11% compared to 8,957 units in August 2025. However, it was the only entry to decline month-on-month, with sales falling 4.33% from July’s 11,152 units.

Together, these four 350cc motorcycles accounted for 1,05,499 units, representing 91.78% of Royal Enfield’s domestic volumes. Their combined sales increased 14.09% YoY and 6.97% MoM. The range added 13,031 units annually, exceeding the brand’s overall increase as declines elsewhere partially offset these gains.

Himalayan Grows, Super Meteor Sales Double

Himalayan sales got boost with the launch of the 440 version recently. It registered sales of 3,068 units, a growth of 8.18% YoY and 39.96% MoM. Guerrilla 450 sales stood at 1,692 units, down 5% compared to 1,781 units a year earlier. Against July, however, sales increased 17.91%. Combined Himalayan and Guerrilla volumes reached 4,760 units, giving the 450cc range a 4.14% contribution to domestic sales. This category grew 3.10% YoY and 31.24% MoM.

The 650 Twins recorded 3,113 units, down 23.27% from 4,057 units in August 2025. However, volumes recovered 40.04% over July’s 2,223 units. Super Meteor 650 delivered the strongest yearly percentage growth in the lineup, with sales more than doubling to 1,466 units. This marked an increase of 102.21% over August 2025 and 82.11% over July 2026. Shotgun 650 recorded 107 units, down 60.07% YoY from 268 units. Its 189.19% monthly increase came off a low base of just 37 units in July.

350cc Range Remains The Main Growth Driver

Combined sales of the listed 650cc motorcycles stood at 4,686 units, down 7.21% YoY, despite Super Meteor’s strong gains. On a monthly basis, this group recovered 52.89%, outperforming the growth rates of both the 350cc and 450cc ranges.
