Royal Enfield Sales Cross 1.13 Lakh In Aug 2026 – FY YTD Crosses 5 Lakh

Royal Enfield reported total sales of 1,26,479 motorcycles in August 2026, registering 10.94% YoY growth over 1,14,002 units sold in August 2025. Sales also improved on a sequential basis, rising 6.98% from 1,18,232 units in July 2026.

Royal Enfield Domestic Sales Up 11%

Domestic sales remained the biggest contributor in August, reaching 1,14,204 units, compared to 1,02,876 units a year earlier. This represents YoY growth of 11.01%. Compared to July 2026 sales of 1,05,317 units, domestic volumes improved by 8.44%.

Exports also recorded YoY growth. Royal Enfield shipped 12,275 motorcycles overseas during August, up 10.33% from 11,126 units in August 2025. However, exports declined 4.96% MoM from 12,915 units shipped in July. Domestic operations accounted for 90.29% of Royal Enfield’s August volumes, while exports contributed the remaining 9.71%.

Flying Flea EV Sales Now Included

The most notable change in Royal Enfield’s August sales data is how the company categorises its smaller motorcycles. Royal Enfield now lists the segment as “Models with engine capacity up to 350cc and electric models”. This means sales from the company’s Flying Flea electric motorcycle business are now included alongside its high-volume sub-350cc motorcycles.

Under 350cc category recorded 1,13,143 units in August 2026, up 14.71% from 98,631 units in August last year. It accounted for a substantial 89.46% of Royal Enfield’s total monthly sales. Compared to July 2026, when the category stood at 1,05,048 units, volumes increased by 7.71%.

Royal Enfield’s above-350cc motorcycles, meanwhile, recorded 13,336 units. This was down 13.24% from 15,371 units in August 2025, although sales improved marginally by 1.15% over July’s 13,184 units. Since Flying Flea volumes have been combined with the sub-350cc category, the data does not reveal how many electric motorcycles were sold separately.

FY27 Sales Cross 5.75 Lakh Units

Royal Enfield’s year-to-date performance remains substantially ahead of last year. Between April and August 2026, the company sold 5,75,138 motorcycles, compared to 4,67,575 units during the corresponding period last year. That’s a 23% increase. Domestic sales grew even faster at 27.65%, from 4,07,909 to 5,20,695 units.

The up-to-350cc and EV category contributed 5,12,817 units, registering 27.52% YoY growth and accounting for 89.16% of overall volumes. In contrast, above-350cc motorcycles declined 4.77% to 62,321 units. Exports also remained under pressure on a cumulative basis, falling 8.75% to 54,443 units.

New Himalayan 440 Launch On September 4

After launching the Classic 350 Gorkha Edition a few days ago, Royal Enfield is now preparing to launch the new Himalayan 440 on 4th Sep. First units have recently been spotted at dealerships ahead of the launch, indicating that dispatches have already commenced. New Himalayan 440 is expected to sit below Himalayan 450 and offer a more accessible entry point into Royal Enfield’s adventure motorcycle range.
