Liam Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy shared touching message days before star's tragic death

In the days leading up to the sudden and tragic death of Liam Payne, his partner Kate Cassidy shared one of their last moments together with a heartfelt tribute. A TikTok post depicted the former One Direction singer enjoying a peaceful horseback ride with his girlfriend.

Alongside the video, Kate posted: "I am very grateful for the simple things in life." Payne's death stunned fans globally after the tragic incident occurred at Hotel CasaSur in the Palermo district of Buenos Aires, with local media reporting on it shortly thereafter.

Hours before his death, Payne was active on social media, engaging with fans by posting about his meals and his excitement for polo. In various videos, the 30-year-old musician captured his breakfast time with Kate while staying at a friend's house.

During one such video, Liam commented, "This is the breakfast table, just enjoying breakfast and coffee even though it's 1pm," to which Kate playfully chided in the background, calling them "losers" for their late start to the day, reports Wales Online.

Liam and Kate had been together since October 2022, making their first public appearance as a couple on the red carpet two months later. Their relationship seemed to be flourishing, with Kate accompanying Liam to the premiere of All of Those Voices, a documentary by Louis Tomlinson, Liam's former One Direction bandmate.

Following the event, Kate took to social media to share her thoughts: "What a crazy eye-opening experience! " She also praised Louis, saying "@Louist91 well done on such a beautiful film that everybody will love."

This new romance came after Liam's final breakup with model Maya Henry in May 2022, following several breakups and reconciliations. It seemed that Liam had found comfort once again with Kate, but their world was turned upside down by a terrible incident during their trip to Argentina.
