Ahead of her stint on the ITV show I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!, TikTok influencer and former Nottingham Trent University student GK Barry has prepared her girlfriend, Ella Rutherford, for her absence. The social media star, who gained fame on TikTok and is legally known as Grace Keeling, is among the celebrities participating in the 2024 series of the reality show, which is set to air soon.

She will join a line-up that includes Strictly's Oti Mabuse, Coronation Street's Alan Halsall, Loose Women's Jane Moore, Coleen Rooney and Barry McGuigan. Ahead of the show's launch on Sunday (November 17), she was spotted landing in Australia.

Before boarding her flight, GK ensured her striker girlfriend wouldn't feel completely alone by giving her a cardboard cut-out of herself. When asked who she would miss most during her jungle stay, GK mentioned her girlfriend and her cat, saying: "When you are missing home and all you want is your comfort people, then that will be hard if they are not there."

She added: "But my girlfriend is also very excited for me and thinks I will do really well.", reports the Mirror.

GK continued: ""I have got her a cardboard cut out of me so it's not weird when I am away." Upon her arrival in Australia this Monday, GK Barry shared: "The flight was horrendous, I wouldn't recommend it to a friend. I drank a bottle of wine.

I am here to go to a retreat, just one with nature. " However, she confessed that she had never been camping before. Despite being seen smiling upon landing, GK's upcoming stint on I'm A Celebrity is clouded by controversy due to her recent deletion of some of her own work. This drastic action followed an episode of her podcast, Saving Grace, where she hosted controversial adult content creator, Bonnie Blue, who has since been banned from visiting Australia herself.

During the interview, Bonnie claimed she had slept with hundreds of "barely legal" men aged 18 and 19 and openly discussed touring universities during Freshers Week to sleep with as many students as possible. She then posted her exploits on her OnlyFans account for profit. After the episode aired, fans criticised GK for hosting Bonnie, arguing that the material was "harmful" to her followers. Amid the controversy, it has been suggested that I'm A Celeb are currently dealing with an "absolute PR nightmare."

GK Barry said upon her arrival in Australia, this Monday: "I'm A Celeb is a family show and they can't have anyone on there who agrees with sleeping with barely 18 years olds," a source told The Sun. "The top brass have held crisis talks as to how they handle the backlash when GK enters the show. GK has deleted the video but the furore hasn't gone away."
