Martin Lewis' wife Lara Lewington has announced her departure from the BBC after 15 years. The presenter, aged 45, revealed that her technology show 'Click' is coming to an end, sharing on social media: "Here's to the future... some PERSONAL NEWS: After 15 years of covering some of the greatest technology on earth, sadly in a few months BBC Click will gaze into the future no more."

She added, "I've many exciting plans, documentaries to finish, being AI agony aunt on @lorraine and a compelling future health tech related project coming next year."

Reflecting on the programme’s impact, she said: "The BBC gave us an amazing opportunity to cover the tech that has, and will transform our lives, in ways we could never have imagined. It is a shame to see our dear show come to an end at this moment of AI transformation and incredible acceleration in innovation and possibility, but such are the economic constraints."

Lewington, who co-hosted 'Click' alongside Spencer Kelly, has now embraced a new role as the resident tech expert on ITV's Lorraine programme, a position specifically crafted for her skills. Previously, she expressed her excitement about her new job on social media: "Excited to announce I've joined the @ITV @lorraine team as TV's first AI Agony Aunt. I'll be breaking down the facts and answering viewers' questions on AI and tech. Much important stuff to discuss on what it means to be human in the age of AI."

Lara, also known for her six-year stint as a weather presenter and showbiz correspondent at Channel 5, regularly entertained on ITV1's 'The Impressionable Jon Culshaw' with a weekly sketch. She also brought her insights to the panel of ITV1's 'Win, Lose or Draw' and made notable appearances on programmes such as 'Newsnight', 'Big Brother's Big Mouth', 'The Weakest Link', and even showed her moves on BBC's 'Let's Dance for Sports Relief', reports the Mirror.

Lara has been married to Martin for 15 years, and together they have a daughter, affectionately referred to by Martin as his "mini MSE".
