With Black Friday just around the corner, retailers are offering a handful of enticing deals. NordVPN, in a significant pre-Black Friday sale, has reduced its prices by 71%.
The virtual private network provider has cut the price of its two-year plans to £2.29 per month, and is also offering an extra three months free on selected plans. The software, which can be used with Android, iOS, iPADOS, Windows, and Fire TV, helps users protect their data and devices.
NordVPN comes loaded with desirable features such as multi-hop connections, split-tunnelling, and tracker and ad blocking. It also includes an automatic kill switch—a security feature that disconnects your device's internet connection if the VPN drops, thus protecting your data, according to the Express.

A VPN (virtual private network) is a service that secures your internet connection, safeguarding your private data from hackers and other websites. It operates on both your phone and home computer, providing protection regardless of location.
For many Brits looking for cheaper flights and access to their favourite Netflix shows, a VPN can prove to be a useful tool. Websites often hike prices for individuals who have shown a keen interest in flights or holidays, based on demand-based pricing when searching for flights online.
A VPN like NordVPN can assist by blocking information about previous visits when browsing for your next trip. This can also apply to booking hotels and securing cheaper subscriptions on location-based websites. Something which has proved popular looking at reviews on Trustpilot, where the service has a four-star rating.
As one person said: "I regularly travel to Spain and Nord gives me peace of mind that I'm protected and I can access all the things I need in Spain in the secure knowledge that Nord will protect me."
However, some users have reported issues. One Trustpilot reviewer stated: "Not sure exactly why it didn't work well as the tech support didn't pinpoint it."
"However, my suspicion is that "Kill Switch" kicks in too quickly when my internet has a slight disruption causing major connectivity issues. From that point it takes too long to reconnect."
NordVPN isn't the only option; other VPNs, such as ExpressVPN, offer similar services and have been recognised as top providers, with Black Friday sales available.
