List of Nottinghamshire school closures as county wakes up to snow and treacherous conditions

by · NottinghamshireLive

Nottinghamshire has woken up to the first snowfall of the season. Heavy snow overnight and freezing conditions have led to some treacherous conditions on the roads.

A number of bus services are not operating or running to alternative routes as roads become impassable due to snow and ice. Parents have also been advised to check for school closures.

A number have already confirmed they will not be opening. The Met Office said up to 10cm of snow was possible overnight in the county, even on lower ground. Gritters from Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council have been out throughout the night, but it is likely some road closures will be put in place as a result of the adverse weather conditions.

A Met Office weather warning for snow and ice remains in place until 10am on Tuesday, November 19.
