Ruth Payne, sister of the late Liam Payne, has broken her silence with a poignant message following his tragic passing. In an emotional Instagram post on Saturday morning, Ruth expressed her deep sorrow and disbelief over the events of the past week, wishing she could visit her brother's house to talk to him just one more time.

"One last time I need you to know, I'm here if you need anything. I'd drive to the end of the universe to bring you back," she wrote in a heartfelt tribute. In her open letter to Liam, Ruth acknowledged that he never saw himself as good enough, despite his desire to be loved and to bring joy to others through his music.

"You've had to try really hard to overcome all that was being aimed at you," she added in her moving post.

Liam Payne tragically died at 31 on Wednesday after falling from his hotel balcony in Argentina, where he had been supporting One Direction's Niall Horan on tour. His father, Geoff Payne, was seen arriving at the CasaSur Hotel on Friday, taking a moment to read the many cards and letters left by mourning fans.

Liam shared a tight bond with his family, often referring to his sisters Ruth and Nicola as his lifelong friends, reports the Mirror.

Earlier in the week, Liam's parents departed their Wolverhampton home to travel to Buenos Aires to start the process of repatriating their son.

For the first time since her devastating loss, Ruth has taken to Instagram to post a moving homage to the brother she described as not only a sibling but her 'best friend'. She expressed her disbelief and longing in her message, saying: "Liam, my brain is struggling to catch up with what's happening and I don't understand where you've gone.

"I just want to drive to your house and walk in to music blasting and find you sat there writing a song or walk into your art phases and sit with you while you draw or craft."

Her tribute continued with warm memories: "What I love most about you is your ability to make me laugh. I never chuckle as much as I do when I'm with you with anyone else. I'm always in awe of your talent - it should be illegal to be so talented and just have the ability to not only be good at things but to be bloody great at everything you attempt, without even knowing you're absolutely smashing it each time."

She also reflected on his character: "I love your kindness and how proud I am to call you my brother and my best friend. You also make a great Sunday dinner too!" adding humour with a light-hearted memory.

Ruth shared her thoughts on the harshness of the world towards him: "I don't feel this world was good enough or kind enough to have you, and quite often over the last few years you've had to really try hard to overcome all that was being aimed at you. You just wanted to be loved and to make people happy with your music. You never believed you were good enough. I hope you can now see this outpouring of love that you never received in your time.

"Thank you for changing my life. Thank you for the incredible memories, thank you for being the best brother and friend I 'll ever have! We'll take care of Bear and he will always know how incredible his dad is and how much you idolise him.

"I'm sorry I couldn't save you. Love you, oh how my heart misses you, Ru xxx". She added a final message, saying: "One last time I need you to know, I'm here if you need anything. I'd drive to the end of the universe to bring you back."

The heartfelt words come after it emerged that Liam had been dropped by his record label just days before his passing and had also parted ways with his long-term publicist in recent months.

Geoff Payne, father of the late British star, was seen leaving the Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This is where his 31 year old son tragically fell from a third-floor balcony earlier this week.

According to reports from the Associated Press, Mr Payne flew to Argentina to arrange for his son's body to be returned home. He was spotted paying respects at the makeshift memorial created by fans outside the hotel, taking time to read letters and reflect near the flowers, photos, and candles left in tribute.

Following the devastating loss, the family released a statement saying: "Liam will forever live in our hearts and we'll remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul."

Cheryl, former Girls Aloud member and mother to Liam Payne's seven-year-old son, has expressed her concerns about protecting their child amidst this tragedy. She shared on Instagram: "As I try to navigate this earth shattering event, and work through my own grief at this indescribably painful time, I'd like to kindly remind everyone that we have lost a human being."

Alongside a monochrome photo of Payne with their son Bear, she added: "Liam was not only a pop star and celebrity, he was a son, a brother, an uncle, a dear friend and a father to our 7 year old son. A son that now has to face the reality of never seeing his father again."

The 41-year-old ended her statement by asking people to let Liam Payne have the little dignity he has left after his death, so he can finally rest in peace. This comes after Liam Payne's girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, expressed her shock and sadness on Instagram, saying that the past few days have felt unreal.

She wrote: "Liam, my angel, you are everything. I want you to know I loved you unconditionally and completely. I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you Liam."
