ITV I'm A Celebrity fans all say same thing as Dean McCullough leaves camp
by Charlotte Tutton · NottinghamshireLiveI'm A Celebrity viewers all echoed the same sentiment on Friday night, as Dean McCullough was seen leaving the main camp. The star was compelled to depart after the trial and relocate to the 'basic camp', the Jungle Junkyard.
He would have to reside there with new jungle campmates Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Coles until further notice. Maura and Richard selected him while the stars in the main camp remained oblivious to the fact that the junkyard is actually far more luxurious than they believe.
While Maura and Richard are pretending to be on rations with no comforts, roughing it up, they are in reality living their best lives. Dean was let in on this secret on Friday night as he left camp and moved into the junkyard.
Initially, Maura and Richard warned him it wasn't pretty before instructing him to push the big red button. As he did, the camp transformed and Dean finally discovered what things were really like there, after the other campmates had felt bad for him and the newcomers.
Dean was astounded, before he too was told he would need to maintain the pretence. However, viewers were all saying the same thing, believing Danny Jones should have been the one to experience the luxury camp instead of Dean, reports the Mirror.
One fan said: "Can't believe dean is gone in and not Danny. Another tweeted: " Another tweeted: "Why didn't they pick Danny," as a third added: "Danny deserved the luxury he did everything."
After a series of tense moments at the Bushtucker Trial clearing, host Dec Donnelly couldn't resist making a humorous dig at contestant Dean. Thursday night's episode saw viewers comment that Ant appeared visibly "seething" as Dean withdrew from yet another challenge.
Ant later expressed his frustration, acknowledging he "wasn't happy" with his own reaction and labelled it "unprofessional". Despite this, Ant opted for a more "kinder" stance towards Dean moving forward, leaving it to Dec to playfully call him out.
The jest was in reference to Dean's recent rule-breaking in camp, where he was caught on camera smuggling teabags – a clear violation of the rules which led to an investigation by producers. The camp faced consequences, with all contraband required to be surrendered.
In Friday's trial, Dean teamed up with McFly's Danny and they performed notably better than in previous attempts. However, when they overlooked a star concealed within a kettle, Dec seized the opportunity to quip about the oversight, suggesting that given Dean's teabag incident, one would have thought he'd check the kettle first.
