My neighbour demanded I move my car from my own driveway - her reason was ridiculous

While many of us aim to maintain a cordial relationship with our neighbours, there are times when this becomes challenging. It's not essential to be best mates with the people next door, but a simple hello or wave is always appreciated.

Some might even go above and beyond by accepting their parcels or lending them tea bags when they run out. However, sometimes, you may find yourself dealing with difficult neighbours.

They could be playing loud music at odd hours or parking inconsiderately, causing annoyance. Nicole Turner Bell recently took to TikTok to share her experience with such "neighbours from hell".

She was pushed to her limit when a fellow resident had the audacity to ask her to move her car from her own driveway. To add insult to injury, this bold neighbour suggested she should vacate her home as someone else was ready to buy it.

In her video, Nicole shares how she was left fuming when her neighbour gave her an absurd reason for why she should relocate her vehicle. She said: "My neighbour asked me to move my car because it's 'not in keeping with the street.' She came round to my house last night and had a massive go at me. I came back from the supermarket today, and I thought, 'Oh, she's coming over to apologise.'", reports the Mirror.

Nicole shared a story about her neighbour's unsolicited offer to help sell her house, presuming financial difficulties based on Nicole's car. "But no, she came over to tell me that if we are struggling, then she does know someone who wants to buy our house. The only inkling she's got that we're struggling is from the car that I drive."

The woman explained how she snagged her Kia Sorento for just £200: "I didn't want to pay car payments anymore so I bought her for £200. Honestly, it's such a bargain. It did smell like an old man at first, but now I've got air fresheners, and she's absolutely fine. It cost me £200 and cost me £300 to insure. I've had it since June now, and I've had no issues at all. Monthly car payments just aren't for me anymore."

Nicole described past grievances with her neighbour, including complaints about their household maintenance: "She moans if we don't water our plants enough," and "She doesn't like the fact that we have astroturf in our garden for the kids because she wants it to be real grass. She doesn't like the kids playing out on the street because she said they should be playing in their own gardens. God forbid one of the kids leaves a bike or scooter out. She also doesn't like us leaving any bikes or scooters in our garden, she wants them in the shed because it's not in keeping with the area."

Nicole's video has viewers in disbelief over her neighbour's "cheek", with commenters chiming in on the state of her car and suggesting it looked nowhere near shabby enough to warrant a £200 offer. Additionally, folks are dishing out creative ideas for Nicole to serve some "petty" revenge just in time for Christmas.

One commenter proposed: "My level of petty would be through the roof. I'm thinking the tackiest of tacky Christmas decs in the garden, from now on, park the car on the road instead and chalk hopscotch and drawings all over the driveway."

Another suggested: "Print up a list of hobbies and pastimes to give her and suggest her time would be better spent indulging in one of them. Don't be as snotty as I'd be tempted to be, though. Maybe gentle parent her into it."
