United Airlines plane diverted and passenger detained after in-flight incident

Concerning the serious situation, no injuries were reported among the 147 passengers and six crew members on board.

In this connection, a United spokesperson said: “Madison, Wisconsin to address a security concern with an unruly passenger.”
The FBI Milwaukee spokesperson said that the agency was informed about the flight’s diversion. While the FBI spokesperson said: “A subject was detained by the Dane County Sheriff's Office and afterwards passengers resumed their flight.”
As reported by the NBC News, an air traffic control audio captures the discussion between ground and flight personnel as law enforcement responded to the incident.
“I do not believe they ever cuffed him but were able to finally get control of him after multiple attempts to try to breach the cockpit.”
On the other hand, a crew member can be heard saying: “I believe at this point he is seated in a seat and flanked with law enforcement officers on either side.”
Furthermore, FlightAware data confirmed that the flight resumed its route, and landed on Saturday morning.
