Quinnen Williams signs blockbuster $105.9 million extension with Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys and star defensive tackle Quinnen Williams have agreed to a three-year contract extension worth $105.9 million.

Sources told ESPN and NFL Network on Monday that the deal includes $101 million guaranteed with $63.35 million guaranteed at signing and William will also receive a $31.85 million signing bonus.

The contract carries an average annual value of $35.3 million, making him the second-highest-paid defensive tackle in the NFL by that measure.

The 28-year-old is now under contract with Dallas through 2030.

The Cowboys acquired Williams from the New York Jets at last year's trade deadline in exchange for a 2026 second-round pick a 2027 first-round selection and defensive tackle Mazi Smith.

He has recorded 342 tackles and 41.5 sacks during his NFL career and earned first-team All-Pro honours with the Jets in 2022 after posting a career-high 12 sacks.

Dallas executive vice-president Stephen Jones had said at the start of training camp that securing Williams on a long-term contract was a priority.

Williams' new deal comes after the Cowboys recently secured long-term agreements with several key players, including Tyler Smith, Brandon Aubrey and Jake Ferguson.
