Hyundai is gearing up to expand its SUV lineup in India over the next few years with a host of exciting new models. The refreshed lineup will include the updated Tucson, an all-electric version of the popular Creta, and the next-generation Venue, all of which are set to launch by 2025.
With these additions, Hyundai intends to strengthen its foothold in the fiercely competitive SUV market. Here’s a closer look at what’s in store:
1. Updated Hyundai Tucson:
Hyundai revealed the updated Tucson globally late last year, presenting a significant design refresh. The front end now boasts a new grille, revamped lighting elements, redesigned skid plates, and new alloy wheels. At the rear, the Tucson also features notable aesthetic upgrades. Inside, the cabin has been modernized with a newly designed dashboard and a striking panoramic curved display that enhances the overall interior appeal. These improvements are expected to carry over to the Indian variant when it debuts in 2025.

2. Hyundai Creta EV:
Hyundai is set to introduce a new midsize electric SUV in India early next year, built on the adaptable K2 platform. This upcoming EV is poised to tap into India’s rapidly expanding electric vehicle market and will compete with rivals such as the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, its Toyota counterpart, and the recently launched Tata Curvv EV. The SUV is expected to share its electric motor setup with the Kona Electric and the claimed range could be around 500 km.
3. New Hyundai Venue:
Hyundai is preparing to launch the next-generation Venue next year, offering an upgraded version of its popular compact SUV. While the current model is known for its impressive feature set, the upcoming version is expected to bring revised exterior styling and an upgraded interior for a more modern appeal. Despite these updates, it is likely to retain the current powertrain options.
