All-New Mahindra BE 6e Launched In India At Rs. 18.90 Lakh

Mahindra BE 6e is packed with features and technologies and comes with an ARAI-certified range of 682 km

Mahindra & Mahindra has officially launched the BE 6e today in India, alongside the XEV 9e, at the ‘Unlimit India’ event in Chennai for a starting price of Rs. 18.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Both vehicles are built on Mahindra’s innovative INGLO platform, a key step forward in the brand’s electric vehicle journey, marking these models as the new flagship EVs in Mahindra’s lineup.

The BE 6e, previously known as the BE 05, is an all-electric five-seater coupe SUV that reflects Mahindra’s commitment to a brand new design language and modern technology. It features an eye-catching new ‘BE’ logo, sleek C-shaped LED DRLs around the headlamps, and a distinctive glass roof. The interior is just as striking, with a driver-focused layout that includes a twin-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo and dual-screen displays that provide a modern and functional touch.

The cabin is designed to offer a premium experience, with intuitive controls and a spacious feel. Tech features in the Mahindra BE 6e include wireless charging for your devices, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, and ambient lighting to set the mood. A Type-C charging port ensures fast connectivity while the ventilated and power-adjustable front seats promise comfort.

The BE 6e is equipped with an electronic parking brake that includes an auto-hold function, an auto-dimming IRVM, and a suite of selectable drive modes for a customisable driving experience along with an ADAS suite of driver-assistive and safety technologies. As for performance, the Mahindra BE 6e offers two battery pack options: a 59 kWh and a 79 kWh unit.

Both versions are designed to support fast charging capabilities of up to 175 kW, which allows for a 20 per cent to 80 per cent charge in just 20 minutes. This fast-charging capability ensures that long journeys are easier to manage, offering convenience and efficiency to drivers on the go.

With these features and high-end tech, the flagship Mahindra BE 6e vows to be a formidable competitor in India’s growing electric vehicle market. The EV has an overall ground clearance of 207 mm, a battery ground clearance of 218 mm and a length of 4,371 mm. The bootspace and frunk capacities stand at 455 L and 45 L respectively.

These numbers are better than some of the high-end luxury vehicles on sale in India. The Mahindra BE 6e features brake-by-wire technology helping to stop from 100 kmph to zero in just 40 metres while increasing brake recuperation potential by 18 per cent to boost range. The 79 kWh battery pack enables an ARAI-certified range of 682 km on a single charge and Mahindra is ensuring 500 plus km per charge with AC on while driving in metros. It must be noted that the price does not include charger and installation cost and deliveries for the vehicle will begin by the end of February-March 2025.
