EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS PARIS-SAINT Germain earned the chance to defend their title against Arsenal in the Champions League final after a 1-1 draw with Bayern at the Allianz Arena, sealing a 6-5 aggregate victory in the sides’ semi-final.
Ousmane Dembele gave PSG an early two-goal aggregate advantage in Munich, the Ballon d’Or holder powerfully applying the finishing touch to a sweeping team move and a cut-back from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in just the third minute of Wednesday night’s second leg.
Harry Kane levelled on the night deep into second-half stoppage time, but the Parisians saw out the final seconds to progress by the narrowest of margins.
The final between PSG and Arsenal will take place at Budapest’s Puskás Aréna on Saturday, 30 May, with kick-off at 5pm Irish time.
