Victoria Beckham Pre-spring 2027: Life on the Move

Victoria Beckham regularly takes inspiration from strong women, and they don’t get any more powerful or multitalented than her latest muse Lee Miller, whose long career spanned modeling, art and fashion photography, photojournalism and, in later life, cooking.

The collection had 1930s flair, mannish tailoring and sporty, outdoorsy pieces made for women on the move. Beckham said resort is one of her favorite collections of the year, because it’s inclusive and versatile, stretching from Christmas party season into spring.

“I like to keep it almost season-less — and I don’t want anything too heavy. I’m never forgetting what my customer wants and needs throughout this season. There are Christmas party looks in here, but then we’ve also got ones that are going into summer,” she said during a walk-through at her London studio.

Liquid jersey gowns had a 1930s feel, and came in a palette of rich earth tones, ranging from ivory and sand to olive and dark ruby. They hugged the body and had details including thumbhole sleeves, for a sporty touch, or playful little drapes and tucks fixed in place by fabric-covered buttons.

Other dresses were splattered with earthy colors, dotted with small 3D pearl rings, a nod to Miller’s surrealist bent.

The tailoring was tops, and included a tuxedo and cropped trousers, which Beckham loves because they show off the ankle. The suit came with a long fringed sash that fell down to the ground, adding drama to the look. Trenches, bomber jackets and anoraks were sculptural, sturdy and designed with a frontline photojournalist in mind.

Knits had a practical, sporty edge. Skinny cardigans came with snaps at the front, while turtlenecks were chunky with ribbed cuffs. A fitted, stretchy V-neck with thumbhole sleeves could easily do double-time at the local Barrecore studio.

Beckham also wants her customers to take a look at the new shoe styles, including pointy-toe pumps and saucy, barely-there mules, which the brand is producing in-house.

“I loves a sexy high heel, and I take the same approach with shoes as I do with clothes, taking all those details into consideration. I want to make sure they don’t cut your leg off in the wrong place. We’re also working on balance, and the length of the toe so they feel cool and modern,” said Beckham, who’s been testing them out herself.

“I’m very excited about them,” she said.
