Canadian travel brand Monos is entering the eyewear category with the launch of Mira, a six-style sunglasses collection that extends its product range beyond luggage and travel accessories.
The collection introduces six frame designs — Minaret, Atrium, Mesa, Cairn, Portico and Intrados — each available in four color options. The silhouettes range from cat-eye and round frames to rectangular and wrap styles, reflecting a mix of classic and contemporary shapes intended for everyday wear.

Mira is produced using Mazzucchelli cellulose acetate and fitted with Zeiss CR39 lenses. According to the brand, all lenses offer UV400 protection, while a metal wire core within the temples is designed to improve durability and allow for a more adjustable fit. Each pair is priced at $150.
The launch marks Monos’ first move into eyewear since its founding in 2018. The company, known for its minimalist suitcases and travel goods, has been expanding its retail presence in the U.S. while growing its international customer base.

“From the beginning, Monos’ journey has always been about redefining what a travel brand can be; starting with luggage, expanding into soft goods and travel accessories, and now, taking an intentional step toward becoming a lifestyle brand,” Victor Tam, cofounder and chief executive officer of Monos, told WWD. “With Mira, we wanted to bring the curiosity that travel inspires into the everyday. It’s not about what you look at, but what you see. When you’re exploring somewhere new, you move through the world with purpose and wonder. Our collection of sunglasses are designed to inspire that same mindfulness no matter where you find yourself.”
Mira will be available from Thursday through Monos’ website and physical retail locations.
