Presented at the Maison de la Chimie, Paloma Wool’s spring 2027 collection felt like a purposeful step beyond the label’s knitwear reputation. Rather than abandoning its tactile and sensual sensibility, designer Paloma Lanna redirected it toward evening attire, playing with proportion and mixing materials like golden jacquard and checked silk for a richer, more ceremonious mood.
The core idea came from Lanna’s attention to what sits beneath the surface. Exposed linings became visible design elements, exposing unexpected body parts for visual impact. Transparent layers and suspended, strap-held skirts made construction part of the look. Horizontal cuts and shifting lengths, cropped in addition to elongated, kept the silhouette unsettled, preventing the touch of glamour from becoming too proper.
The accessories continued the brand’s playful image. Toe-baring pumps and floral silver toe rings turned the foot into a point of focus, while lyrics from Brat Star’s “Margot Tenenbaum” engraved on bags lent the polish a pop-cultural edge.
