MILAN — Casadei is going into yin-and-yang mode with its latest collaboration.

The footwear brand has partnered with Italian indie label The Archivia on a black-and-white capsule collection centered on its signature Blade heels.

Crafted from hardened steel, the sculptural 4.7-inch heel defines the slender silhouette of leather sandals embellished with rice grain-shaped rhinestones. To match the dressed-up vibe, The Archivia spotlighted its sartorial expertise with a double-breasted blazer jacket that doubles as a dress. Cut from wool and also available in black or ivory options, the design comes with a co-branded label on the cuff and a lightweight chiffon stole in matching or contrasting color for extra drama.

“Femininity is, by nature, constantly evolving. With The Archivia, we have found a new language through which to express it: the Blade meets a contemporary vision of dressing, taking on an even more personal and distinctive dimension,” said Cesare Casadei, creative director of the footwear brand.

Launching on Monday and available exclusively online at the two brands’ e-commerce platforms, the Casadei x The Archivia capsule collection will retail at 580 euros and 995 euros for the dress and sandals, respectively.

While Casadei has a long history in the industry — tracing back to 1958, when it launched as a small workshop in San Mauro Pascoli, where Quinto and Flora Casadei created the first collection of sandals designed for tourists holidaying on the Italian Riviera — Aquino established The Archivia in Naples in 2001.

The brand started with a focus on tailoring before expanding into outerwear first and gradually evolving into a full-fledged ready-to-wear offering, comprising Aquino’s take on utilitarian separates, cocktail dresses rich in dazzling and feathery embellishments and a glitzy swimwear line.
