‘Masters of the Universe’ Featurette Spotlights All the Classic Villains Included in the New Movie
by John Squires · Bloody DisgustingAmazon MGM Studios has released two new featurettes for the upcoming Masters of the Universe movie this week, one spotlighting the heroes and the other spotlighting the villains.
You can watch both featurettes below, but we’re of course more partial to the villains featurette, which reveals that Masters of the Universe 1987’s Karg is part of Skeletor’s army!
Karg was a brand new character created for the 1980s live-action movie, so it’s awesome to see him back on the big screen in the brand new adaptation of the Mattel toy line.
Skeletor and Evil-Lyn are of course both back in the new movie as well, along with classic Masters villains including Beast Man, Trap Jaw, and Spikor. Meet the villains below!
Based on the classic Mattel toy line, witness the sci-fi action-adventure film in theaters and premium formats on June 5, 2026 from Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel.
Nicholas Galitzine embraces his destiny as He-Man alongside Camila Mendes as Teela, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Fisto, James Purefoy as King Randor, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena, Kristen Wiig as the voice of Roboto, Idris Elba as Man-At-Arms, and Jared Leto as Skeletor.
After being separated for 15 years, the Sword of Power leads Prince Adam back to Eternia, where he discovers his home shattered under the fiendish rule of Skeletor.
To save his family and his world, Adam must join forces with his closest allies, Teela and Man-At-Arms, and embrace his true destiny as He-Man — the most powerful man in the universe.
