What are we all playing this weekend?

Well? Do tell!

· Rock Paper Shotgun

I wonder what’s going to happen when we eventually run out of crusty old public-domain drawings to put in these. Hopefully by that point the standards of what’s considered ‘old’ will have shifted and we can start using photos and video stills of, I dunno, my fourth birthday party or something. Or maybe Mark can learn woodblock printing and we can make some ourselves. Should Mark learn woodblock printing? Let us know in the comments, and also, what you’re playing this weekend.

Edwin:
I'm in the middle of a family medical emergency situation, so I'm probably not going to be gaming much this weekend, but I'll have my laptop and Switch to hand. I hope to keep going with sprawling tactics RPG Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children. There's also top-down muckorama Darkwood, which has recently gotten its teeth into me again. I do so enjoy cowering in the light of a flickering bulb, listening to something outside the cabin say "ghhasghub".

Mark:
After a very Assassin's Creed Rogue-filled last weekend, I'm gonna do my best not to rudely boot Edwin off the site's Steam press account during this one. As such, probably a bit of some games I'm already well familiar with. Historically, that probably points towards ending up dabbling with Skyrim for the 500th time.

Julian:
Is off riding bicycles, which lack adequate mouse and keyboard surfaces.

Ollie:
One of my bastard friends claims that he's getting so many stutters and memory leaks and crashes in Overwatch that we're gonna have to find a different game to play. So far we've been bouncing between Helldivers 2 and Hunt: Showdown, two old familiar and fun games which each bring something very different to the table.

Jeremy:
I am playing an embargoed game this weekend that is secret but features a laundry list of everything that's kinda-sorta-maybe popular these days. Parries are involved, as you might imagine, and I think it's a solid game in some respects but very unoriginal in others. Maybe it'll surprise me after a few more hours, who knows!

Callum:
I’ll be playing [REDACTED] this weekend, and will probably also be trying out [REDACTED]. A secret weekend to be sure, full of many secretive things. I say this, but my parents are visiting, so I imagine it’ll actually mostly be spent listening to my Dad stressing the importance of investing in my pension.

Dion:
Is off sick with a mysterious illness known only as Roblox Wrist.

James:
Edwin’s recommended me Song of Morus: Limbo Express, which appears to be a kind of anime Returnal-style bullet hell shooter set entirely atop a moving train. To quote the accompanying message, "I found another batshit train game for you, James." How rude, I thought, as I began downloading it instantly.

And you, reader dear, what are you playing this weekend?...
