What are we all playing this weekend?

Well? Do tell!

Ah, it's a Saturday and the start of a heat wave. What to do? What to do? Pull out the plastic storage box and fill it with cold water and ice cubes for a nice chilling foot bath. Get some damp flannels in the freezer to become an ice pack ready to be deployed at a moment's notice. And get a nice hot cup of tea on, because tea doesn't stop for a poxy heat wave.

(Though maybe I'll get a nice buttery chardonnay in the fridge for afters)

Enough of these hot weather techniques, perhaps some games will be enough of a distraction.

This weekend I'll be recovering from documenting 126 Lego Batman suits and 33 Lego Batmobiles for guides, all with pics and references to the comics and other media that they were inspired by. All those dang suits and cars and they still didn't give me my '90s Batman-in-Azrael-armour design or the Batsubway Rocket. Bah!

I’m pretty keen to try out Zero Parades, but it's rivalled by the new cloud that looms over my life. I tried out Satisfactory the other night, aiming to kill a few hours, and it latched onto my brain like a parasite. All I’ve thought about since is automation. When I close my eyes, I see fields of construction units forming hardened iron plates, all connected by an ever-stretching empire of symmetrical conveyor belts. I have a feeling there will be Zero Parades until I forge that dream, after which I’ll sit back, admire it for five minutes, get bored and never play it again.

Game? What's a game? I've been waiting for a bus for years now and haven't seen so much as a hair on the head of a driver who's understandably annoyed that I insist on paying with a £20 note. In the meantime, I'm taking solace in the fact there've been Zero Parades.

This weekend I will try to play more Zero Parades while fixing my dad's bookshelves and taking my brother out for dinner.

James
Not content to simply play at being a spy in Zero Parades, James has started trying to infiltrate municipal buildings without raising suspicion. I believe this weekend he is trying to get into the cellar of Haslemere's planning office.

Ollie
Concerned that James will accidentally visit the Hazlemere planning office, Ollie has gone after him.

Julian
Damn the weather, I will be finishing Half-Life: Alyx this weekend. What more could you want to do in a 30 degree heat than strap a hat and heavy computer to your face and crawl around in the sewers of City 17?

And you, reader dear, what are you playing this weekend…?
