Adrian Newey, regarded as one of the best engineers in Formula One history, will take on the role of Aston Martin's team principal from the 2026 season, the motor racing team said on Wednesday.

Newey, a Briton, joined Aston Martin earlier this year as a shareholder and managing technical partner of the team, after leaving Red Bull Racing.
