Anmol is a fugitive accused in the murder case of NCP leader Baba Siddique and the shooting incident at actor Salman Khan's residence -- Galaxy Apartments -- in Bandra. He is also wanted in multiple criminal cases in India, including the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in 2022.
The NIA has filed charges against him stating that he had provided weapons and logistical support to those responsible for Moosewala's murder near his village in Punjab.
As per reports, the US authorities may first hand him over to the Canadian authorities in connection with the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, and then to the Indian authorities.
He is implicated in two cases registered by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and 18 other criminal cases. Recently, the NIA announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for any information leading to his arrest.
The NIA has urged people to come forward with information about Anmol Bishnoi's whereabouts, but so far, the gangster remains out of their reach. His criminal network remains active, solidifying his status as one of India's most wanted individuals.
According to a report in India Today, he fled to Canada in 2023 using a fake passport. His criminal record led to a Mumbai court issuing a non-bailable warrant against him in July 2024.
Anmol Bishnoi entered the world of crime like his brother Lawrence Bishnoi. He was released on bail on October 7, 2021. In 2023, an investigation agency filed a chargesheet against him.
