Ariana Grande Sees ‘Brighter Days Ahead’ With New Songs — And Almost Hits No. 1
by Hugh McIntyre · ForbesAriana Grande just added six brand new songs to her latest album, and fans wasted no time snapping them up. The singer released Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead, an expanded version of her recent full-length, on Friday (March 28), and every track included in the update is already performing well on the iTunes in America.
All Six New Ariana Grande Songs Hit on iTunes
All six of the new tunes that have been added to Eternal Sunshine – now retitled Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead – appear on the iTunes top songs chart. That list ranks the bestselling tracks in the U.S. on iTunes alone, and it’s usually full of new releases on Fridays, as the music industry begins again its weekly tracking period.
“Twilight Zone” Is Ariana Grande’s Biggest New Song
Among the half-dozen freshly released tracks, just one appears inside the top 10 on iTunes at the time of writing. “Twilight Zone” currently ranks as the highest-performing cut from Brighter Days Ahead. It serves as the focus track from the deluxe version of the album, and it might soon become the next smash single.
“Twilight Zone” comes in behind several other notable new drops, including Mondo Cozmo’s “Shine” at No. 3, Linkin Park’s “Up From the Bottom” at No. 8, and the collaborative rendition of “Mayberry” by Rascal Flatts and Blake Shelton, which lands at No. 9.
Brighter Days Ahead’s Songs Are Climbing Quickly
While “Twilight Zone” is the only new Grande cut inside the top 10 on iTunes, the others aren’t far behind. Each of the remaining five songs tacked onto Eternal Sunshine lands inside the top 40, and almost all of them are sitting within the top 20.

At the moment, Grande’s “Warm” settles at No. 12, followed immediately by “Past Life” at No. 13. “Dandelion” comes behind at No. 15, with “Hampstead” not far back at No. 19. The extended version of “Intro (End of the World)” — a longer take on the song that opens the standard version of Eternal Sunshine — debuts at No. 22.
Ariana Grande’s New Deluxe Edition is a Top Seller
It’s not just the individual songs from Brighter Days Ahead that are performing well. The full collection is also surging. Eternal Sunshine Deluxe currently sits at No. 2 on iTunes’ Top Albums chart, nearly conquering the ranking of the most-purchased full-lengths in the U.S. on that site. The only project keeping Grande from the summit right now is I Said I Love You First, a joint release from Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco.
