What Time Will 2025 SAG Awards Nominees Be Announced? How To Watch

The announcement of the 31st Annual SAG Awards nominees on Wednesday follows the awards ceremony for the 82nd annual Golden Globes on Sunday, which yielded big wins for the musical Emilia Pérez and the historical drama The Brutalist.
According to the Screen Actors Guild, actors Joey King and Cooper Koch will announce the nominees for the 2025 SAG Awards on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. ET / 7:30 a.m. PT on Netflix’s YouTube channel.
Netflix became the streaming home of the SAG Awards in 2024 as part of a multiyear deal between the streamer and the Screen Actors Guild.
The 31st Annual SAG Awards will be handed out on Sunday, Feb. 23, starting at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT and will be streamed by Netflix from Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles. Actor Kristen Bell will be hosting the SAG Awards for the second time.

“Thrilled to be hosting the SAG Awards again this year,” Bell said in SAG’s host announcement. “I’m honored to be asked back and can’t wait to share the evening with my fellow actors, doing what we do best ... celebrating ourselves.”
Film and TV icon Jane Fonda has been chosen for this year’s Life Achievement Award, which is SAG-AFTRA’s highest honor.
How Many SAG Awards Are Handed Out?
Unlike such awards bodies as the Golden Globes, the Critics Choice Awards and the Oscars, the SAG Awards only concentrate on nominations for acting and stunt work.
Five SAG Awards will be handed out to actors in the film category and six in the television category. Five nominees will be named in each category.
The film awards consist of awards for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role, Outstanding Male Actor in a Leading Role, Outstanding Female Actor in a Supporting Role and Outstanding Male Actor in a Supporting Role and Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
Since SAG doesn’t honor films or TV series as a whole, the Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture award has long been regarded as the equivalent of a Best Picture award, while the ensemble awards for TV drama and TV comedy are seen as Best Series awards.
The TV awards consist of Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series, Outstanding Male Actor in a Drama Series and Outstanding Ensemble Cast in a Drama Series.
In addition, TV awards are handed out for Outstanding Female Actor in a Comedy Series, and Outstanding Male Actor in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Comedy Series.
SAG Awards are also handed out for Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture and Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television series.
According to the guild, the nominations for the 2025 SAG Awards will begin with the announcement of the Outstanding Action Performances in a Stunt Ensemble by SAG Awards Committee members Jason George and Elizabeth McLaughlin. After that, SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher will start the live event.
According to the guild, the SAG Awards are voted on by SAG-AFTRA’s membership, which consists of 122,000-plus performers.
The nominees for the 2025 SAG Awards will be announced Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. ET / 7:30 a.m. PT, while the awards will be handed out Sunday, Feb. 23, starting at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT in Los Angeles and will be streamed live on Netflix.
