Police attaches property of Baramulla drug peddler

Baramulla: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday attached properties worth Rs 1.72 crore belonging to a notorious drug peddler in Baramulla district. The attached assets include a double-storey residential house in Chowadhi Jammu and Trikanjan Boniyar, along with a tipper, trailer, and a four-wheeler.

According to a police statement, the properties belong to Rafiq Ahmad Khan, also known as Rafi Rafa, a resident of Trikanjan Boniyar, Baramulla. The action was taken under sections 68-E and 68-F (1) of the NDPS Act of 1985, in connection with FIR 134/2016, registered under sections 8/21/29 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Boniyar.

The police investigation revealed that the properties were illicitly acquired through the trafficking of narcotics and psychotropic substances. This action is part of the ongoing crackdown against drug peddlers in the region.
