NH-44 Open Amid Inclement Weather; Mughal, Sinthan, SSG Roads Closed Due To Snowfall

Jammu/Srinagar, Dec 21: Traffic is moving on the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) from both sides as of Sunday morning despite prevailing inclement weather, officials said.

An official confirmed that the national highway remains open for vehicular movement amid wet weather conditions.

However, the Mughal Road, Sinthan Road and the Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumri (SSG) Road have been closed to traffic due to snow accumulation, the official added.

Commuters have been advised not to rely on rumours and to verify road status only through official Traffic Police channels.

The public has been urged to check updates on the Traffic Police Twitter handle @Traffic_hqrs, the official Facebook page facebook.com/jammuandkashmirtrafficpolice, or contact the Traffic Control Units (TCUs) for authentic information.
