Man Killed In Alleged Land Dispute In Jammu; Two Brothers Arrested

Jammu, Jul 4: A land dispute turned fatal in Jammu’s Miran Sahib area after a man was allegedly hacked to death with sharp-edged weapons, prompting police to arrest two brothers accused of the murder.

The victim, identified as Satinder Kumar, a resident of Gaiyan village in Miran Sahib, was allegedly attacked on Friday evening following a dispute over land, police said.

Seriously injured in the assault, Kumar was rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Police launched overnight raids and arrested the two accused, identified as Ajay and Vijay, sons of Darshan Kumar and residents of the same village.

A case has been registered under relevant sections of law, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances leading to the crime, police said.
