PM Modi to interact with youth at ‘Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ dialogue on Jan 12
by Northlines · NorthlinesNew Delhi, Jan 10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said he was looking forward to engaging with young leaders from across the country at the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue, scheduled to be held on January 12, underlining the central role of youth in building a strong and prosperous India.
In a post on social media platform X, the Prime Minister described India’s youth as a driving force behind the nation’s aspirations. “Our youth power, filled with amazing enthusiasm and unparalleled zeal, is committed to a strong and prosperous nation. I am extremely eager to engage in dialogue with my young counterparts from across the country in the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue,” PM Modi said, adding that he was looking forward to meeting participants at the programme.
The dialogue is part of the government’s broader outreach to involve young Indians in shaping the vision of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) as the country moves towards the centenary of Independence in 2047. The initiative seeks to provide a platform for young leaders, innovators, and change-makers to share ideas, discuss policy challenges, and contribute suggestions on national development priorities.
Over the years, the Modi government has repeatedly emphasised youth-led development, positioning young Indians as partners in governance and nation-building. Programmes such as Startup India, Skill India, and Digital India have been pitched as efforts to harness the demographic dividend and encourage innovation and entrepreneurship among the youth.
The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue is expected to focus on issues ranging from education, employment, and innovation to governance reforms and inclusive growth, with participants drawn from diverse regions and backgrounds. The Prime Minister’s interaction is seen as an attempt to directly connect with young voices and incorporate their perspectives into the long-term development roadmap of the country.
