Gold Futures Rise To Rs 1.51 Lakh/10 Gm On Firm Spot Demand
by Northlines · NorthlinesNew Delhi, Sep 16: Gold prices rose by Rs 803 to Rs 1.51 lakh per 10 grams in futures trade on Wednesday, supported by firm spot demand and fresh positions created by speculators.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the gold contract for October delivery gained Rs 803, or 0.53 per cent, to trade at Rs 1,51,612 per 10 grams, with a business turnover of 775 lots.
Market analysts attributed the rise in gold futures to fresh positions taken by participants amid firm demand in the spot market.
In international trade, gold futures advanced 0.70 per cent to USD 4,322.14 per ounce in New York. (Agencies)
