Praveen Sood Gets One-Year Extension as CBI Director

NEW DELHI: The government has granted a one-year extension to Praveen Sood as Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), according to an official order.

The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) said the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the extension of his tenure beyond May 24.

With this decision, Sood will continue to head the premier investigation agency for another year. (Agencies)
