J&K: 2 Killed, Several Injured As Minibus Overturns In Reasi

Jammu, Sept 14: Two persons were killed and several others injured when a minibus overturned near the Bakkal Tunnel in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday morning.

Officials said the minibus was travelling from Bakkal to Reasi when it met with an accident near the tunnel and overturned, leaving several passengers injured.

Following the accident, police personnel, assisted by local residents, immediately launched a rescue operation and evacuated the injured passengers to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Officials said one person died on the spot, while another passenger, who sustained critical injuries in the accident, succumbed while being shifted to the hospital.

Two of the injured passengers were later referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC), Jammu, for further treatment.

Further details regarding the identities of the deceased and injured, as well as the exact cause of the accident, were awaited. (Agencies)
