President, Vice President, PM Extend Eid-ul-Adha Greetings to Nation

NEW DELHI, May 28: President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President C P Radhakrishnan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday extended greetings to the people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Zuha, highlighting the values of sacrifice, compassion, peace and social harmony associated with the festival.

In her message, President Droupadi Murmu said Eid-ul-Zuha symbolises devotion, sacrifice and selflessness, and inspires citizens to serve humanity, especially the underprivileged sections of society. She urged people to strengthen their resolve towards promoting love, harmony and brotherhood.

Vice President C P Radhakrishnan also conveyed his greetings through a social media post, expressing hope that the sacred occasion would bring peace, happiness and goodwill to all.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his message shared on social media, extended wishes on Eid-ul-Zuha and said the festival should deepen the spirit of brotherhood and happiness in society. He also prayed for everyone’s success, prosperity and good health.

Eid-ul-Zuha, also known as Bakrid, is one of the most significant festivals celebrated by Muslims across the world and commemorates the spirit of sacrifice and devotion.
