A CRASH involving one vehicle that closed the westbound entrance to The Tunnel in St Helier this afternoon left two people with injuries “believed to be minor”.
The States of Jersey Police announced the closure on social media at around 2.30pm and said vehicles could still travel eastbound through the tunnel, but added traffic was building along Route du Fort.
In an update shortly after, a States of Jersey Police spokesperson confirmed to the JEP that it was a single-vehicle collision that occurred at the Green Street roundabout.
Emergency services were deployed to the scene including Fire and Rescue service, as well as an ambulance crew that assessed two occupants with minor injuries.
A States of Jersey Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed that a patient was taken to hospital by ambulance.
