One UI 8.5 internal testing goes live for a long list of Galaxy devices

by · Android Police

Samsung's Android 16 QPR2-based One UI 8.5 started rolling out in beta earlier this month. Currently limited to the Galaxy S25 series, the new beta is also limited to a few countries only.

We expect One UI 8.5 to be rolled out in stable with the release of the Galaxy S26 series next year, with it subsequently making its way to older Samsung devices. Although Samsung hasn't offered a concrete (or rough) timeline for when that might happen, the sheer number of internal test builds appearing on Samsung's servers (via SammyGuru) suggests that the South Korean tech giant might be planning to expedite the rollout.
