Material Recycling theme day

Euroopa Elamuskeskus, Rävala puiestee 4 Tallinn

Material Recycling in a New Era takes place as part of Tallinn Design Festival. The day opens with a 60-minute lecture on the digital product passport and the Upmade circular economy approach, followed by two hands-on workshops — a T-shirt design session and a leather wristband workshop, both beginner-friendly and running in parallel from 12:30. The day closes with a panel discussion titled Design, Innovation, and the Future of Europe, moderated by Ivo Krustok and featuring Margaret Aus, Ilona Gurjanova, and others. Free entry, pre-registration required.

PyData, Enerfit and Digit Meetup

Wednesday 30 September, from 5.30pm

PyData Tallinn Meetup is hosted by Enefit and celebrates a milestone tenth edition with two talks, food, drinks and the kind of networking that actually goes somewhere. The evening opens with introductions from Enefit, Digit and PyData followed by Mikhail Iljin (Staff Machine Learning Engineer, GScan) on building a stable R&D process in an ML team at a frontier physics startup and Artjom Vargunin (Data Scientist, Enefit) on Enefit’s journey into quantum computing — beyond the hype and into what the technology actually looks like in practice. Whether you are just starting out with Python and data or have been in the field for years, this is a welcoming room and a useful evening.

International Music Day Gala

Eesti Muusika- ja Teatriakadeemia suur saal, Tallinn

Music Awards Gala takes place at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre’s main hall on International Music Day. The annual awards of the Estonian Cultural Endowment’s music fund and the Estonian Music Council will be announced, honouring the year’s most significant contributions to Estonian musical life — but the gala is as much concert as ceremony, built around the music of Estonian composers and the recognition of something that is harder to name but immediately felt: the sound of a culture being itself.

The evening is led artistically by Toomas Vavilov, directed by Tiit Ojasoo, and designed by Kairi Mändla, with orchestra Põhijõud on stage alongside soloists including Vaiko Eplik, Maria Listra, Age Juurikas, Rein Rannap and Havryil Sydoryk, and a percussion ensemble of Heigo Rosin, Vambola Krigul, Lauri Metsvahi and Brita Reinmann. The gala is followed by the Music Day party, included with the same ticket.

International afterwork party

Ruddy Baar, Sauna 1, Tallinn

International afterwork party is a new social format designed for everyone who has stood at a networking event wondering how long they need to stay before it is acceptable to leave. No forced introductions, no pressure to sell yourself, no awkward silences while two people pretend to be interested in each other’s job titles. Instead, a relaxed evening with optional, easy-going activities designed to get conversations flowing naturally — the kind where you end up talking to someone you would never have approached otherwise, and are genuinely glad you did. Come alone or with friends, jump into the activities or simply enjoy the atmosphere, and let the rest take care of itself. Happy hour runs from 19:30 to 21:30 with beers and wines at €4 and 50% off spirits and cocktails.

Nigeria independence Party

Nigerian Independence Day Celebration comes to Tallinn for a full day and night of authentic Nigerian food, culture, music, and a warm, inclusive atmosphere that makes everyone feel welcome regardless of where they are from. The afternoon opens with food and entertainment before the energy shifts as evening arrives and the DJ lineup takes over — DJ Sammy Savage, DJ Sup Kinq, MC Vibe Machine, DJ HXSI, and DJ Yash keeping things going until late. Entry is available via ticket on Fienta, or free with a food order on the night — which, given that the food is authentic Nigerian cooking, is not a difficult decision. Whether you are part of the Nigerian and African community in Tallinn, curious about the culture or simply looking for a genuinely good evening, the doors are open for everyone.
