Medeama sealed the 2025-26 Ghana Premier League title in emphatic style after thrashing Heart of Lions 5-2 at a packed Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium on Sunday.

Roared on by their supporters, the Mauve and Yellow delivered a dominant display to secure their second league title with a game to spare.

Kelvin Obeng and Derrick Fordjour both scored braces, while Prince Owusu added the fifth goal as celebrations erupted in Tarkwa.

The victory moved Medeama five points clear at the top of the table and returned the Premier League trophy to Tarkwa for the first time since their 2022-23 triumph.

Medeama also benefited from Dreams FC's 3-1 victory over Bibiani Gold Stars at the Tuba Astro Turf.

Suraj Seidu scored twice for Dreams, with Jonathan Nemorden also on target, while Gold Stars finished the game with nine men after the dismissals of Richard Kotey, Kelvin Oppong and Bright Boakye.

The result ended Gold Stars’ hopes of retaining the title.

Elsewhere, Aduana strengthened their top-four ambitions with a 3-1 win over Young Apostles, while Samartex defeated Hearts of Oak 1-0 through Gabriel Osei’s second-half strike.

Bechem United secured survival after beating Asante Kotoko 3-1, with Augustine Okrah scoring twice against his former club.

Vision also boosted their survival hopes with a crucial 1-0 victory over Nations, while Berekum Chelsea defeated Eleven Wonders 2-0.

With the title race settled, attention now turns to the final day as the battles for top-four positions and survival continue.
