Ghana’s Black Starlets have arrived safely in Ivory Coast ahead of their scheduled two international friendly matches against the Young Elephants.

The team departed Ghana at 13:30 GMT on Sunday and touched down in Abidjan approximately an hour later, marking the next phase of preparations for the upcoming U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The travelling contingent, made up of players, technical staff and management officials, is expected to proceed to Ebimpe, where both fixtures will be played at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium.

The friendlies, set for April 27 and April 30, will provide the Black Starlets with a valuable test against a strong Ivorian side as they continue to sharpen their form ahead of the continental showpiece.

With the team now settled in Ivory Coast, focus shifts to training sessions and tactical fine-tuning as the coaching staff aim to get the squad fully prepared for the important matches.

Ghana has been drawn in Group D for the tournament in Morocco later this year, alongside Senegal, Algeria and South Africa, in what promises to be a highly competitive group.
