'We are concentrating on our preparations' – Dreams FC coach Winfred Dormon ahead of FA Cup final
· GhanaSoccernetDreams FC head coach Winfred Dormon says his side is fully focused on their preparations ahead of Sunday's MTN FA Cup final against Nations FC, refusing to be distracted by their opponents' league struggles.
The two sides will face off at the University of Ghana Stadium, with a place in next season's CAF Confederation Cup on the line. The winner will represent Ghana in continental competition.
While Nations FC were relegated from the Ghana Premier League after finishing 16th, Dormon is taking nothing for granted.
"We are concentrating on our preparations coming into the game," Dormon said. "Yes, Nations FC have been relegated, but as far as the FA Cup competition is concerned, they have told an impressive story. So Dreams FC need to approach this game very cautiously."
Dreams FC have history in the competition, having won the FA Cup in the 2022/23 season and gone on to reach the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup. They will be aiming to add a second title to their name.
For Dormon, the message is clear: full focus, no complacency. The trophy and a return to the continent await the winner.
