Dreams FC goalkeeper Gidios Aseako has earned his first-ever call-up to the Ghana call-up following a series of impressive performances in the Ghana Premier League, marking a significant breakthrough in his career.

The 21-year-old shot stopper is among several home-based players to have made the cut for the upcoming pre-World Cup friendly match against Mexico.

His consistent displays throughout the Ghana Premier League campaign caught the attention of the Black Stars technical team led by Portuguese tactician Carlos Queiroz, earning him a place in the squad for the friendly.
