President of the Confederation of African Football, Patrice Motsepe, has congratulated Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku and the Ghana Football Association following Ghana’s triumph at the CAF African Schools Football Championship in Zimbabwe.

In a letter personally signed by him, Motsepe praised the leadership of Okraku and commended the performance of Ghana’s U15 girls team, the Black Damsels, for successfully defending their continental title.

Ghana secured the championship after a dramatic final against Burkina Faso, winning on penalties after a goalless draw in regulation time to claim back-to-back titles.

Motsepe described the achievement as remarkable, attributing the success to the players’ quality and the leadership guiding football development in the country.

“This remarkable achievement is a testament to their talent, discipline and determination and to your excellent leadership,” he said in his message.

The victory reinforces Ghana’s dominance at the schools level, with the Black Damsels showing consistency and composure throughout the competition.

Their success further highlights the steady growth of women’s football in Ghana, with the young team’s resilience and mental strength proving decisive on the continental stage.
