Aduana FC were held to a frustrating goalless draw by ten-man Heart of Lions at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park in their Matchday 31 Ghana Premier League clash on Sunday.

The match began at a lively pace, with both sides showing attacking intent and coming close to breaking the deadlock early on. Aduana were dealt an early setback when Charles Gyamfi Kamara, returning to the starting line-up, was forced off after just 14 minutes.

The visitors had the clearest opportunity of the first half when Michael Ephson struck the woodwork in the 34th minute, moments before the game took a dramatic turn. George Osei was shown a red card in the 41st minute after receiving his second booking, reducing Heart of Lions to ten men.

Despite their numerical disadvantage, Lions emerged from the break with confidence and continued to threaten, refusing to sit back. Aduana, however, began to assert their dominance as the second half progressed, piling pressure on the visitors’ defence.

Emmanuel Marfo and Daouda Sidibe both came agonisingly close to finding the breakthrough, but their efforts narrowly missed the target.

Lions showed resilience to hold on for a valuable point, moving four points clear of the relegation zone.

For Aduana, the result is a significant setback, leaving them ten points behind league leaders Medeama and all but ending their title ambitions.
