Berekum Chelsea are set to part ways with head coach Samuel Boadu following the conclusion of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

The former Hearts of Oak trainer is expected to leave the club despite guiding the Blues to a respectable sixth-place finish in the league standings with 50 points.

Sources close to the club indicate that Chelsea’s management have already begun the process of searching for a new head coach ahead of the next campaign, with discussions ongoing behind the scenes over possible replacements.

Boadu joined Chelsea with the ambition of helping the club return to the upper ranks of Ghanaian football after several inconsistent seasons.

Under his guidance, the team showed flashes of quality throughout the campaign and managed to comfortably secure their top-flight status.

However, despite avoiding relegation and finishing in the top half of the table, it appears both parties are preparing to end their relationship as the club looks to take a different direction heading into the new season.

The 40-year-old remains one of the most successful young coaches in Ghanaian football, having previously enjoyed a trophy-laden spell with Hearts of Oak where he won multiple domestic titles, including the Ghana Premier League and FA Cup.

An official announcement regarding his departure is expected in the coming days as Berekum Chelsea continue restructuring plans ahead of the 2026/27 season.
