Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi earns maiden Ghana call-up

Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi has received his first-ever Ghana call-up for the upcoming international friendly match against Mexico, marking a major milestone his growing career.

The former Dreams FC shot stopper has been recognized for his outstanding performance for the Phobians in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.

Agbasi has managed eleven Ghana Premier League games this season, keeping five clean sheet and establishing himself as a key figure for the Phobians despite the presence of Black Stars first-choice goalie Benjamin Asare.

His outstanding performance for the Ghanaian giants did not go unnoticed, with Ghana new coach Carlos Queiroz handing him his first Black Stars invite for the friendly against the North American side.

Agbasi’s call-up is seen as a reward for months of steady form, where he has often kept Hearts of Oak in tight matches with crucial saves. His composure under pressure and improved decision-making have been standout features of his game this season.
